Fatal accident in Torrington is being investigated

Police are investigating a fatal crash early Friday in Torrington.

According to Captain Brett Johnson of the Torrington Police Department, the accident was reported in the morning hours on Pothier Road.

The Drakeville Volunteer Fire Department said the road between John Brown Road and Brandy Hill Road was closed while emergency crews were on scene.

Johnson said further details would likely be released later on Friday.
