Sheriff: Man abuses three girls and a woman in Water Country

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News man is accused of sexually assaulting three girls and a woman in Water Country earlier this week.

Sheriff Ron Montgomery of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said his office received a complaint around 3:45 p.m. Monday that an unknown man had inappropriately touched three girls and a woman in the wave pool area of ​​the park.

Montgomery said his office worked with security forces and was able to identify the suspect, 29-year-old Ziaulhaq Faqiri. He was arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated sexual assault and three counts of sexual assault.

Faqiri is currently incarcerated in Newport News City Jail.
