Anchorage Police Execute High-Risk Search Warrant

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – It was just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday when Anchorage Police responded to the scene to execute a search warrant for a home near the 4100 block of Wilson Street. According to Police Sergeant Christopher Worland, who was on scene, there were complaints and concerns from the public and as a result of the investigation, a search warrant was issued for the home. Police used various tactics as a means of de-escalation. According to Sergeant Worland, police made contact with most of the people who were inside the home, questioned them and released them.

“The investigation is in its early stages and most of the people will be interviewed and released today depending on what the investigation reveals. We may need to revisit some of these statements and there may be arrests, but at this time we have no information on that,” Sergeant Worland said.

No arrests have been made so far and Sergeant Worland said people could safely return to their homes as there were no known threats to the community.
