Here is the calendar of events for Sandy Springs’ Juneteenth celebration, June 19, 2024.

5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Celebration on City Green

  • Live DJ music
  • Food Trucks (Dogs on Wheels, Brain Freeze – Check back for more!)
  • Juneteenth Arts and crafts, games and family fun
  • Genealogical Research Exhibit (in partnership with Georgia Archives and the Metro Atlanta Chapter of the African American Historical and Genealogical Society)

5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. PM: Exhibition and immersive art experience by LIQUID Arts & Productions (Lobby Byers)

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: The City of Sandy Springs and Namari Productions present “From Africa to America,” an exhilarating live production celebrating Juneteenth. We invite you to immerse yourself in a captivating community showcase featuring dance, theater and singing performances, while exploring the deeper meaning of Juneteenth. The performance begins at 5:30 p.m. sharp (Byers Theater)

7:00 p.m.: African dance workshop by Djoli Kelen (City Green)

7:30 p.m.: Drum circle led by Djoli Kelen (City Green)
