One dead after shooting at gas station in southeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person died in a shooting at a gas station in southeast Columbus Friday morning.

Columbus police reported a shooting at the gas station in the 4700 block of Refugee Road around 1:40 a.m. Friday. One person was taken to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

No information about the suspect has been provided so far.

The incident occurred just minutes before police were called to another shooting in downtown Columbus. Officers were called to a nightclub called Aura around 1:45 a.m. Friday and found several victims shot. Several people were pronounced dead and a large police presence was seen at the scene as they investigated.
