Elkhart man arrested for child pornography – 95.3 MNC

On June 12, 2024, detectives from the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) arrested an Elkhart County man for suspected possession of child pornography.

This investigation by the Indiana State Police ICAC Task Force began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip ultimately led to the Indiana State Police executing a search warrant for a residence in the 3100 block of Birch Drive in Elkhart, IN.

As a result of the investigation, 28-year-old Joshua Grosenbacher was arrested on eight counts of possession of child pornography (a Level 5 felony) and two counts of possession of child pornography (a Level 6 felony). Grosenbacher was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.

The Indiana State Police oversees the ICAC Task Force, a multi-agency task force that investigates allegations that the Internet is being used to sexually exploit or entice children.

The ICAC Task Force encourages Indiana residents to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement crimes against children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The NCMEC website is accessible through the ICAC Task Force website.

The Indiana State Police were assisted by the Elkhart County District Attorney’s Office, Elkhart Police Department, Lagrange Police Department, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Border Patrol.
