Suspect arrested in Louisville double shooting, another still at large

A man has been arrested after a double shooting in Louisville on Tuesday, but the search for at least one suspect continues. Two men were shot on Saddlebrook Lane in the St. Denis neighborhood around 3 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. An arrest report states that a physical altercation ensued, which ended with one victim being shot in the right ankle and the other victim being shot in the neck. They say an unknown suspect walked up to another victim while they were in a vehicle and stole it at gunpoint. Both victims were taken to UofL. The victim, who was shot in the neck, underwent quick surgery and is expected to survive. The man who was shot in the leg is doing well, police said. The two men were last seen fleeing in the vehicle they had stolen, police said. Officers later found the car and the suspects fled before a crash occurred. Nineteen-year-old Jaden Hinds was arrested wearing what appeared to be the same clothing worn by a suspect in the carjacking, according to police. The other suspect is still at large. Hinds is charged with robbery and receiving stolen property. He is currently not accused of shooting any of the victims. Rather, Hinds is only charged with robbery and receiving stolen property, a firearm. He appeared in court on Wednesday morning.
