Atlanta Braves News: Atlanta avoids sweep, Nacho Alvarez homers, more

The Atlanta Braves finally got back into the win column after a 6-3 victory at Camden Yards. The Braves ultimately dropped the series, but Thursday afternoon’s victory ended the club’s five-game skid.

Reynaldo López had another successful start, pitching six scoreless innings. He struck out eight and walked one. He now leads the majors in ERA with a 1.69.

The lackluster offense showed some signs of life, as the Braves had 12 hits, five of which went for extra bases.

Next, the Braves return to Truist Park where they will host the Tampa Bay Rays for a three-game series.

More Braves news:

Just a day after his promotion, Nacho Alvarez hit his first Triple-A home run in a Gwinnett Stripers uniform.
