A pedestrian has died after stepping into the roadway and being struck by a vehicle in Greenville County, South Carolina. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said the victim, Shaquille Griffin, 30, was in the median where Interstate 385 and East North Street meet. Officials said Griffin stepped into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle. This happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Griffin died at the hospital. All lanes of northbound I-385 and East North Street near the Stone Avenue exit were closed during the investigation.
