City of Houston partners with Cityside Homes for affordable housing initiative

The City of Houston is partnering with Cityside Homes on an affordable housing initiative for Houston residents.

Through the Affordable Homes program, Cityside Homes built 40 new affordable homes in two different gated communities in the Northside neighborhood, located just minutes from downtown Houston. Awards start at $320,000, with qualified applicants eligible to receive up to $130,000 in payment assistance.

Program participants must possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum employment of two years
• Maximum savings of $30,000
• Income limit of 80% to 120% of area median income (AMI)
• Ratio rate limit 33%/45%
• Minimum credit of 620
