13-year-old girl sexually assaulted at knifepoint in Queens Park, police say

NEW YORK – Police say a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in a park in Flushing, Queens, on Thursday.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. in Kissena Park near Colden Street and Kalmia Avenue.

According to police, a man approached a 13-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl in the park, pulled out a knife and chased them into a wooded area.

The man is said to have then stolen both of their cell phones and then sexually abused the young girl.

The suspect fled on foot.

According to police, both teenagers were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

No photos of the suspect are available, but police say he is a Hispanic man in his 20s who appeared to wear braces and had a tattoo of a wild boar or bull with red eyes on his chest. He is approximately 5’5″ tall.
