Following child abuse investigation, charges could be brought against employees of a Watertown YMCA daycare center

Watertown police are investigating a report of child abuse at a daycare center. Police said they were called on the evening of June 5 to investigate the “suspicious injuries” of a young boy. The infant was treated at ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. Police said the investigation determined the injuries occurred while the child was at the YMCA Daycare Center in Watertown. Police said YMCA employees have cooperated fully with the investigation. Charges will be filed against one of the YMCA employees with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, police said. No further information is being released at this time.
