Jaipur: One of the two men accused of raping a minor girl after abducting her from her house in Rahuvas police station area of ​​Dausa district was arrested on Thursday. The accused, identified as Ravi Kumar alias Dholya Meena, 20, son of Kailash Chandra, was being held in Jaipur before his arrest. A reward of Rs 5 lakh had been offered on his arrest. Police tracked him down after conducting a series of raids at the houses of his relatives and friends in Dausa, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur and Alwar. Dausa SP Ranjita Sharma said, “As per the complaint filed by the minor girl’s family, she left her house to relieve herself around midnight on May 21. Ravi Kumar alias Dholya Meena and Pintu alias Deepak Meena, son of Badri Lal of the same village, came there and forcibly took her to the fields behind the house where the two raped her. They also threatened to kill her if she told anyone.”Though the minor did not tell anyone in her house about the gang rape, the two accused again struck her on the night of May 27 when she was sleeping outside her house, the SP said. The duo again took her to the fields, beat her brutally and raped her a second time. The girl’s family, alarmed by her screams, rushed to the scene. The two accused fled and the girl’s family found her in a semi-conscious state. The accused duo threatened the girl’s family and warned them not to file a complaint. “A rape case is already pending against Ravi and he has been in jail for some time. After receiving a complaint from the girl’s family, we filed a complaint,” said a police officer. The second accused is still in hiding.
