1 dead in head-on crash near Grove City

The crash is still under investigation.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio – One person was killed in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer near Grove City on Wednesday morning, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

At 8:45 a.m., a 2024 Kenworth tractor-trailer was traveling north on State Route 104 south of Hibbs Road while a 2001 Ford F-150 was traveling south.

The sheriff’s office said the F-150 flew over the center into the northbound lane and collided head-on with the tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer veered off the west side of the road before stopping. The F-150 came to a stop in both lanes of SR-104.

Deputies, Grove City police officers and Jackson Township EMS responded to the scene. The driver of the F-150 was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office did not release her name.

The driver of the semi-truck was examined at the scene for injuries.
