BREAKING NEWS: Five injured in Thursday incident | KCII Radio – The One You Can Count On

At approximately 10:03 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of an incident on Highway 1 at Railroad Park Estates in Washington. According to an Iowa State Patrol report, a 2005 Honda Odyssey was struck by a device being towed by a 2012 Kenworth semi-truck when it became stuck on the railroad bridge. There were five passengers in the Honda, four of whom were minors; all five were injured. The driver of the Honda was flown to UIHC by helicopter and another passenger was flown by ambulance. The other three passengers were taken to Washington County Hospital. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Police Department, Washington Fire Department, Washington Rescue and Washington County Ambulance.
