Preview Tokyo X, Houston’s Largest Indoor Japanese Festival

Tokyo X brings a slice of Japan to Texas, featuring vendors, artists, and more from around the world.

HOUSTON — Tokyo X is the largest indoor Japanese festival in Houston and the premier destination for Japanese culture.

The festival is a platform for Japanese cultural education, showcasing the best of Japan to the world. From anime to cooking, car shows and even cosplay, “Tokyo X” is Houston’s largest Japanese festival and will take place at the NRG Center on June 15-16.

Great Day’s Carlos Hernandez visited the Pop Fancy Dessert Bar, one of the vendors serving delicious treats at this year’s festival. Besides food, there are many other things to do and see in Tokyo X. One of them is Kaminari Taiko, a Japanese drumming ensemble based in Houston, Texas. Kaminari Taiko will present his Japanese Taiko Drummer demonstration at the opening of the festival.
