Detectives search for suspected rapist in Whatcom County

WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspected rapist.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office said there is an arrest warrant out for 26-year-old Brennan Haggstrom for rape, assault and indecent sexual conduct.

According to court documents, Haggstrom assaulted and raped a person he knew at a home near Cain Lake, WA, in February 2024. Haggstrom met with investigators on June 3 but refused to speak unless an attorney was present.

Investigators later gave him until June 5 to turn himself in. Haggstrom ignored the request and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He is described as a 5’9″ tall white man with brown hair and brown eyes.
