West Memphis announces new SMS alert system

WEST MEMPHIS, Arkansas – The city of West Memphis is implementing a new text message alert system to provide citizens with important information and updates, the city announced.

Residents receive messages about emergency alerts, community events, road closures, power outages, hygiene notifications and more.

The purpose of TextMyGov is to provide West Memphis residents with time-sensitive updates that may impact their daily lives.

Those who choose to receive these alerts may receive multiple notifications per month.
