TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 24 south of Clarksville closed after fatal four-vehicle crash

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Westbound Interstate 24 was closed from Exit 19 to Exit 11 this morning due to the investigation of a fatal four-vehicle crash.

The accident occurred in the westbound lanes near Mile 18 at around 1:15 a.m.

As of 11 a.m., the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s investigation was ongoing and the westbound lanes may not reopen until the afternoon. Traffic is being diverted via Exit 19.

At 11:15 a.m., westbound traffic was backed up to about mile marker 27.
