Reward offered after 4 dead puppies found next to a road in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Marion County Animal Control is asking for your help in finding the person responsible for abandoning four dead puppies on the side of the road.

According to Fletcher Estes of Marion County Animal Control, someone passing by Ebbie Road in the Marion area around 3 p.m. Wednesday found the puppies.

Two of the puppies were found in a garbage bag, one was partially in another bag, and the other was found uncovered.

All four were already decomposing when they were found.

Estes said the cause of death was unknown, but he saw no immediate signs of trauma.

A reward is being offered for anyone with information on a suspect. You can call animal control or the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to provide these tips.

In 2022, a dog was found shot to death on the same street, Estes said.
