Traffic accident on Highway 14 in Newhall: LAPD motorcycle officer involved

NEWHALL, CA (June 13, 2024) – An on-duty LAPD officer suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on the 14 Freeway in Newhall Wednesday morning, June 12.

The accident occurred just after 9:00 a.m. south of Golden Valley Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, an LAPD motorcycle and a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck collided for unknown reasons.

The motorcycle police officer was injured in the accident, but was already on his feet and talking to other emergency personnel when the police arrived at the scene.
The driver of the GMC was uninjured.
