Woman arrested after stabbing boyfriend with broken ceramic bowl during argument





West Plains, Missouri. – A West Plains woman was recently arrested for second-degree domestic disturbance for stabbing her boyfriend with a broken ceramic bowl.

On June 6, 2024, West Plains Police were called to a residence in West Plains after receiving a call about a stabbing following a domestic dispute. When the victim arrived on the scene, he told officers that during an argument with his girlfriend, 28-year-old Jordan Owens, he was trying to grab his belongings when she began to attack him. He showed officers red marks from her slap and another from a punch on his jaw. He then stated that she broke a ceramic bowl and cut and stabbed him with a broken piece. The victim admitted to shoving Owens in self-defense.

Officers found cuts on his arm and one on his hip. They also found a cut on Owens that he later determined was self-inflicted. During an interview with the woman, she stated that she did not remember stabbing or cutting her boyfriend, but later said that she remembered swinging a piece of the ceramic bowl, which may have caused injury.

Owens is being held on $10,000 bail.
