HOUSTON (KW39) – Today is a OZONE ACTION DAY! An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Harris, Galveston, and Brazoria County due to atmospheric conditions conducive to the formation of high levels of ozone. Carpool when possible, avoid idling, and limit commuting when possible to limit ozone exposure today. Calm winds and high temperatures in an urban setting are ideal for this ozone formation environment. The time of highest levels possible is between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
