Thug Life actor Joju George dies while filming a helicopter action scene for the film with Kamal Haasan

Malayalam actor Joju George, who is currently signed to work on the film Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan, met with a helicopter accident on the sets of the film. The actor was shooting the film in Puducherry and was supposed to jump out of the helicopter.

According to On Manorama, the actor had to jump out of the helicopter along with his co-actor Nassar, but he tripped and fell, breaking his left foot and had to be rushed to the hospital.

According to the same report, doctors advised Joju to take bed rest for a week. However, the report stated that the actor decided to continue shooting in Puducherry.

Meanwhile, the makers of “Thug Life” recently moved their filming to the Union Territory as some exciting action sequences were planned there.

According to reports, a scene was shot at Puducherry airport, which would also involve actors Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR and Ashok Selvan. The shooting of the film is progressing at a fast pace despite some earlier delays.

Furthermore, the film also marks the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after their 1987 classic film Nayakan.

Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role and directed by Mani Ratnam, is set to be a gangster action film co-written by Haasan himself. The film features an ensemble cast of actors like Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi and many others in pivotal roles.

The film is expected to feature Ashok Selvan of Por Thozhil fame in his first Mani Ratnam film, and also stars Bollywood actors Sanya Malhotra, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi.

Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi were originally considered to play the lead roles in the film, but due to the film’s delay and the actors’ schedules, they had to opt out of the project. The film also marks AR Rahman’s third collaboration with Haasan, the last being Thenali in 2000.
