Suspect in wheelchair arrested in connection with armed robbery at Bermuda Dunes

A suspect in a wheelchair was arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Bermuda Dunes on Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery was reported around 1:30 p.m. in the 79000 block of Avenue 42.

“Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who advised them that he had been robbed at gunpoint,” wrote Lieutenant Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers managed to arrest one suspect, but are currently searching for another suspect suspected of being involved in the incident.

The investigations are still ongoing.
