Paul Jason Klein of LANY in hospital after car accident, band postpones upcoming performances

Paul Jason Klein, the frontman of Los Angeles-based pop-rock band LANY, suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car. The accident occurred on June 6 as the singer was riding a Vespa scooter home from the gym. A week after the accident, the Tulsa, Oklahoma native shared his health status with his fans in a joint Instagram post with his band. He posted a series of pictures showing his facial bruises. The post also included the sad announcement that LANY’S A Beautiful Blur 2024 Australia and New Zealand tour has been postponed due to Paul Jason Klein’s health condition.

In a detailed report, Paul Jason Klein updated social media users on the harrowing accident. He claimed he could not remember anything after the collision. When he woke up, he found himself on a stretcher in an ambulance. “I have cried many tears of gratitude and joy over the past few days. I know how lucky I am to still be here. All of my vital signs are good, but walking and running around is still a challenge. However, I am getting better and will be back to 100 percent soon,” he wrote.

Paul Jason Klein further explained that doctors have advised him to postpone his concert appearances so that he can recover quickly. The Malibu Nights singer addressed the crowds who had already purchased their tickets and asked them to “secure them” as new dates would be announced soon. “This experience has only reinforced my purpose in life, so I can’t wait to get well and move on. All other tour dates remain as they are. I love you and this life deeply! See you soon,” he concluded.

The first image shows Paul Jason Klein lying on a hospital bed with his eyes closed. His face is covered in blood and has deep cuts on his forehead, cheekbones and chin. A neck brace is wrapped around his neck. In the next snap, Klein is sitting on a chair, presumably at home, with a bandage around his left leg. Despite his injuries, the 36-year-old proved to be a brave guy, showing the camera with a black eye and a thumbs up, suggesting he is ready to get back on his feet.

According to LANY’s website, the band was scheduled to perform in Australia on June 19, 23 and 28 before heading to New Zealand on June 30.
