Former singer of the Spandau Ballet is said to have filmed himself raping sleeping women

A former singer of the Spandau Ballet is on trial and is accused of filming himself raping sleeping women.

Ross Davidson, known as Ross William Wild, is accused of raping and sexually assaulting five women between 2013 and 2023.

He denies three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and allegations of voyeurism, intimidation and control over his behavior.

Appearing at Wood Green Crown Court in north London, Davidson, 26, was described by prosecutors as a “sex symbol” with “a slightly darker side”.

The jury was told that he had a desire to sleep with sleeping women and that many of them did not know they were being filmed until police showed them the footage.

Davidson, who comes from Scotland, became known for his leading role in the musical “We Will Rock You” and joined Spandau Ballet in 2018 after lead singer Tony Hadley left.

He is accused of filming himself raping the first woman after an argument in his north London flat, the Sun reported.

Prosecutors said his defense attorney would argue it was a role play in which the woman acted as if she were a victim.

He is accused of abusing the second woman by groping her breasts.

Davidson is accused of sexually assaulting the third woman at the Cannes Film Festival in southern France and filming her while she slept.

He is also said to have filmed a fourth woman having sex with him and later raping her. The woman is said to have been abused as a “sex slave”.

The fifth woman said she woke up and found herself being raped by Davidson.

The singer was arrested in 2021 and said all the sex was consensual. The trial continues.
