NORMAN, Oklahoma. –

University of Oklahoma police have arrested defensive back Makari Vickers, but the reason is unclear.

News 9 learned that Vickers was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday morning and released on bail around 9:30 a.m.

A spokesperson for the OU athletic department responded to requests for comment late Wednesday night by saying, “We are aware of the matter and it is being handled internally.”
