Guilderland man arrested on felony drug charges

GUILDERLAND, NY (NEWS10) – The Albany County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Guilderland man following a traffic stop Wednesday morning. Mark Robinson, 46, faces multiple charges.

On May 8 at 2:18 a.m., patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on State Route 155 near Voorheesville Avenue in New Scotland. During an interview with police, the driver of the car, identified as Robinson, was allegedly found with quantities of cocaine and tramadol tablets.


Robinson was arrested at the scene. He now faces the following charges:

  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Multiple vehicle and traffic violations

Robinson was held at the Albany County Correctional Facility for a preliminary hearing
