Shots fired at building in Raleigh; investigation ongoing, police say

RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) — Raleigh police say officers are investigating after someone fired shots at a building Wednesday afternoon.

At around 12:53 p.m., police said they were called to the 2200 block of Mayview Road because shots had been fired. The area is in a residential neighborhood.

When officers arrived, they said they found a building that had been damaged by a gunshot.

According to police, no injuries were reported.

Police said the circumstances of the shooting are currently under investigation and no further details can be released at this time.
