More rape allegations against Alexander Brothers surface: Lawyer

At least 28 other alleged victims of the Alexander brothers have made similar allegations of rape and sexual assault against top broker Oren Alexander and his twin brother, according to the lawyer who filed the original lawsuits.

The rush of alleged victims comes after two lawsuits were filed in New York accusing Oren and Alon of raping at least two women more than a decade ago. The only true was the first to report on the case. The cases were filed under the Adult Survivors Act, which temporarily lifts the statute of limitations on civil sexual assault lawsuits in New York.

“I have spoken to about 15 people who told me they were raped by the Alexander brothers, one (brother) or more, at different times in New York City, South Beach and also in other states,” said law firm partner Evan Torgan TRDTorgan later increased that number to 28, taking into account conversations he and his partners had with alleged victims.

Torgan said he spoke to the alleged victims for the first time after TRD’s reports on the lawsuits against Oren and Alon Alexander, a security company executive. Both live in South Florida.

He and his other lawyers at the New York-based law firm Torgan Cooper & Aaron are representing both women in separate lawsuits revealed by TRD The brothers are accused of repeatedly committing gender-based violence against women.

The Alexanders’ attorney, Jim Ferraro of Ferraro Law Firm, has denied the allegations and called the lawsuits “extortion.” Ferraro, Oren and Alon did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

According to a 2013 lawsuit filed in Florida, Oren and Alon have been the subject of sexual harassment allegations for more than a decade. The two brothers sued the anonymous author of the blog newsmiamiflorida.blogspot.com and other message board posts for publishing “false and defamatory statements” accusing Oren and Alon of rape.

A judge issued a temporary restraining order in 2014 requiring the anonymous publisher to delete posts about the allegations. The blog was deleted and the lawsuit was dismissed in 2016.

Aside from the two lawsuits filed in New York, no other legal action has been taken accusing the Alexanders of sexual harassment. The deadline for the defendants to respond to both lawsuits is August 19.

Oren announced on Instagram on Monday that he would be taking a “break” in 2022 from Official, the Side-backed brokerage he founded with his brother Tal, Nicole Oge, Richard Jordan and Andrew Wachtfogel.

Oren’s bio has been removed from the official website, but he still holds an official license, according to Florida licensing records.

Further claims landed at TRD‘s own Instagram page. A flood of comments under posts about the lawsuits and Oren’s “hiatus” from Official include accounts claiming they were attacked by the Alexanders or know others who allegedly were attacked.

New York and Miami-based Official released a statement through its PR firm Dada Goldberg confirming that Oren Alexander and Official had “mutually agreed” for Oren to leave the company. Tal Alexander now leads the Alexander team.
