Man charged after missing South Carolina woman found dead in abandoned trailer: Sheriff

CHESTER COUNTY, SC (NEWS FROM QUEEN CITY) – A woman missing for nearly two weeks was found dead in Chester on Tuesday and a man has been charged.

According to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, Donna Coley, 56, was last seen around 3:30 a.m. on May 30 near Pinckney Street and the JA Cochran Bypass. She was reported missing on the 31st.st.


At 10:43 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, officials announced that Coley’s body was found in an area off Cradle Street. SLED agents assisted the Sheriff’s Office in investigating the scene.

The sheriff’s office announced that 70-year-old Thomas W. Glenn has been charged with murder. Glenn and Coley reportedly knew each other and officials believe there was an altercation that led to her murder. They said her body was found in an abandoned trailer.

Officials said Coley’s vehicle was also discovered abandoned outside of Chester during the investigation. Glenn has a lengthy criminal history, including aggravated assault and armed robbery.

The Chester County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner are handling this case.
