Pensacola man killed in car crash: FHP

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – A Pensacola man was killed in an early morning crash in Santa Rosa County on Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a news release from FHP, a 31-year-old man was traveling north on Diamond Street approaching Highway 90 around 2:45 a.m. when the accident occurred.

The man did not turn left or right, but drove straight ahead, crashed into a guardrail and overturned in “a nearby body of water,” according to the statement.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said this is an ongoing investigation.
