PA Most Wanted: Man charged with raping 14-year-old

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are searching for a man who is one of Pennsylvania’s most wanted criminals for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.

According to Hazleton City Police, the investigation began in September 2019 when a 14-year-old girl told police she had been repeatedly raped by 57-year-old Freddy Calle.

An arrest warrant was issued for Calle. It was the second time he had been accused of sex crimes against children, and the victim was the fourth child to come forward with allegations, officials said.

According to police, Calle fled to Ecuador shortly before the arrest warrant was issued and is currently on the state of Pennsylvania’s most wanted list.

The following allegations are made against Calle:

  • Rape through the use of violence
  • Involuntary deviant sexual intercourse by a person under 16 years of age
  • Corruption of minors
  • Indecent assault on a person under 13 years of age

The investigation into Calle’s crimes will be covered in an episode of America’s Most Wanted on Wednesday, June 19 at 10 p.m. You can tune in on ID Network or stream the show on MAX to learn more about how justice can be brought to the victims.
