Vallejo police warn spectators of a sideshow and tow vehicles away

(KRON) – A weekend sideshow in Vallejo, which reportedly featured 200 vehicles, was shut down by emergency crews, according to Vallejo Police.

Vallejo PD officers, assisted by the Solano County Sheriff’s Office and the American Canyon Police Department, responded to multiple reports of a side attraction blocking traffic near Sonoma Boulevard and Lemon Street around 4:38 a.m. Sunday morning. Arriving patrol officers were able to break up the side attraction, officials said.


According to police, officers found a burning vehicle in the middle of the road as well as two stolen and abandoned Chevrolet Camaros. In a post on Facebook, Vallejo police described the scene as a “chaotic situation.”

Two people were charged with watching a sideshow and their vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.

According to Vallejo Police, illegal sideshow participants’ vehicles can be towed and impounded for 30 days, resulting in fees totaling approximately $2,589.
