Watertown police seek information on vandalism in park

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) – Watertown Police are asking for the public’s help in solving an incident of vandalism on the waterfront of City Park.

Police said in their Facebook post that a person shook a lamp post until the glass broke, causing about $3,000 in damage. The incident occurred on June 7 at around 7:10 p.m.

Police described the person as one of three to four people who were at the scene and were wearing shorts. A black two-door pickup truck and a dark-colored SUV were at the scene.

The police are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
