Hope Chest Buffalo Niagara Dragon Boat Festival Returns

The annual Hope Chest Buffalo Niagara Dragon Boat Festival, intended to support breast cancer survivors, is set to return this Saturday.

Returning for an 11th year, the free festival will feature races at Buffalo RiverWorks, a 50/50 drawing, basket drawing, merchandise sale, refreshments and children’s activities.

All proceeds will be donated to Hope Chest of Buffalo.

“The annual Buffalo Niagara Dragon Boat Festival is the primary fundraiser for Hope Chest,” said Hope Chest board member Deb Carella. “This event allows us to raise significant funds to allow us to continue the mission of Hope Chest while incorporating paddling exercises into a fun and competitive event for breast cancer survivors and the Western New York community This year we are delighted to welcome a team “.

Organizers say a carnation ceremony will be held to honor women who have lost their lives to breast cancer and those who continue to fight.
