15-year-old found safe and sound, AMBER alert lifted

UPDATE: Ophelia has been found safe and sound and the AMBER alert has been lifted, the Iowa Department of Public Safety said.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing 15-year-old girl from Iowa City.

At approximately 7:04 p.m., an AMBER Alert was issued for 15-year-old Ophelia Anne Barton. Ophelia is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 80 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

According to the report, Ophelia is dating 42-year-old Lindsey Anne White. Lindsey is about 5’5″ tall and weighs about 135 lbs. She has reddish brown hair and green eyes.

Lindsey is believed to have left Iowa City with Ophelia in a blue 2014 Jeep Compass Sport with Iowa license plate LIU044.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts or who sees her is asked to call 911.
