Washoe County School District employee arrested in sexual assault case

Caitlin Rock, an employee of the Washoe County School District, was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor and sexual enticement.

Reno police arrested Rock on Tuesday after taking a report from a 14-year-old boy who said he had a sexual relationship with the 46-year-old.

Rock worked as an engagement specialist at Billinghurst and Swope middle schools, according to the school district. An engagement specialist helps students who have dropped out of school re-enroll and provides case management and support afterward.

The school district said in a statement that Rock’s contract expired at the end of this school year and that she was no longer employed there as of Tuesday.
