WCSD employee arrested for alleged sexual relationship with 14-year-old

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A Washoe County School District employee was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.

At around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Reno police officers took a report from the teenager, who stated that he had had a sexual relationship with the 46-year-old.

Caitlin Rock was then contacted and questioned. She was eventually arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor and sexual enticement.

The Washoe County School District released a statement following Rock’s arrest:

“The Washoe County School District (WCSD) is appalled by these allegations and was not privy to the details of the criminal investigation. This alleged conduct is reprehensible and not representative of our staff, schools, or district. Ms. Rock is not currently under contract with WCSD as contracts for educational support staff expire today.”

“The District will continue to follow proper procedures going forward. WCSD is cooperating fully with the Reno Police Department in their ongoing criminal investigation.
