2 people arrested in McFarland traffic stop after stolen gun and drugs found | Crime

MCFARLAND (WKOW) — Two men were arrested during a traffic stop Tuesday after a gun and drugs were found in their vehicle, according to McFarland police.

Police Chief Aaron Chapin said officers made a traffic stop around 12:29 a.m. near Larson Beach Road and Highway 51. He said both men in the car were convicted felons and one of them was on probation.

Officers searched the vehicle and reportedly found a large amount of marijuana, narcotics and a stolen handgun.

The two men, a 33-year-old man from Cottage Grove and a 33-year-old man from Madison, were arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail.
