Route 5 reopened after all-day police investigation in Genesee County

GENESEE COUNTY, NY — Route 5 has reopened after being closed for most of the day Tuesday between Wörterdyke and Hopkins Road west of Batavia.

A neighbor told our team that he heard gunshots and then Genesee County Police responded.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were on scene assisting the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. News10NBC has reached out to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office multiple times to find out what was going on.
