Ric Flair tells his side of the story of the infamous restaurant incident; Consider legal action

Ric Flair has given his own account of events from his recent restaurant visit that made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Many were curious about what was happening at a location of Piesano’s Stone Fired Pizza in Gainesville, Florida, when Ric Flair posted a statement on social media expressing his displeasure after visiting the establishment. The restaurant responded and defended its employees, who responded to the situation accordingly. Although the owner had no plans to release the security camera footage of the Flair incident, it was filmed.

Ric Flair’s cell phone camera footage was uploaded to TikTok and showed The Nature Boy arguing with Piesanos employees, at one point calling an employee “Nicholas Dickhead.” Further, Flair also argued that he had been banned from serving alcohol, offered an employee a $1,000 tip to tell the manager to “get off my ass,” and asked an employee if they wanted to meet him outside. When a patron accepted Flair’s offer, the Hall of Famer declined.

The Gainesville Sun reached out to Flair after new information about his visit came to light. In a story that Flair describes as “honest to God,” Flair claims he was approached by an employee in the Piesanos bathroom and explained that he doesn’t shake hands or take photos in bathrooms.

Flair continues, claiming the employee went into the bathroom stall and saw him texting in the stall:

“Any man who goes to the bathroom knows you can see into the stall,” Flair said. “I said, ‘Get your ass out of there, I have to go to the bathroom.’ “

Although the employee seemed happy as he exited the restroom, according to the Hall of Famer, a female employee approached Flair and described him as a “cuckoo” and an “idiot.”

Flair went on to say that he would not tolerate the comments, describing them as “pretty offensive.” Flair went on to say the following about the altercation with the manager:

“I’ll be honest, I was angry because I didn’t do anything wrong. It’s my word against the kitchen staff and it doesn’t make any sense,” Flair said Tuesday. “I admit everything I said. I don’t have a problem with it because I was crazy.”

In response to the $1,000 tip offered by Flair, Flair stated that he gave “$1,000 on a bill of about $200” for two bartenders, which was declined by the restaurant. Piesano’s co-owner Jerry Roberts also spoke to The Gainesville Sun and revealed that the tip was paid out of his own pocket:

“It was really a matter of principle about how our team was treated, and no matter how much money someone is willing to spend if they don’t treat our team with respect, we just felt like this was the right thing to do.”

At the end of the interview, Flair said that he was considering a lawsuit over the events:

“I have the money to buy the restaurant,” he said. “It will be called Ric Flair’s Italian Bistro.”

AEW has not yet commented on the events.
