Israel’s war against Gaza live: Mediators examine Hamas’ reaction to ceasefire | News on the Israel-Palestine conflict

The US military said it had destroyed two anti-ship cruise missile launch pads in a Houthi-controlled area in Yemen.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM), which is responsible for US forces operating in the Middle East, said the latest attack on the Houthi movement took place within the last 24 hours.

On Tuesday, CENTCOM announced that coalition “partner forces” had destroyed a Houthi drone in the Gulf of Aden.

Both the launchers and the drone posed “an immediate threat to U.S. and coalition forces and to merchant vessels” inside and outside the region, CENTCOM said.

US forces are conducting a joint operation against Houthi fighters in Yemen, who have been attacking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden for months that have links to Israeli companies or use Israeli seaports.

The Houthis say the ship attacks will stop once Israel ends its war against Gaza.
