APD seeks suspect in connection with attempted sexual assault in northwest Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection with an “attempted” sexual assault, the agency said in a news release Tuesday.

On March 30 at around 9 p.m., a woman was walking her dog on Osmarea Drive in northwest Austin when the suspect “exposed himself” and then “attempted to sexually assault her,” according to police.


According to police, the suspect left the area on foot.

According to police, the suspect is described as a black man between 17 and 25 years old, 5’6″ tall and of slim build.

The suspect was last seen wearing a beanie hat, glasses, a light-colored T-shirt and dark basketball shorts, the press release said.
