Car accident blocks Ketchikan tunnel

Traffic in downtown Ketchikan was blocked for just over an hour today after a car overturned in the Water Street Tunnel.

Assistant Police Chief Eric Mattson said in an email that Ketchikan police found the Jeep lying on its side, blocking the tunnel. The car was driven by a 37-year-old woman who reported no physical injuries, according to Mattson. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
