Springboro man accused of sexually abusing minors and downloading child sexual abuse images

A Highland County man faces more than 70 counts of child sexual abuse and sexual abuse of materials after prosecutors say he had “sexual contact” with a minor under the age of 13 and downloaded child sexual abuse images over the course of a year in Springboro.

Steven Reese Barnes, 43, of Dodson Twp., Highland County, was arraigned Monday in Warren County Common Pleas Court on two counts of gross sexual assault and 70 counts of facilitating sexually motivated conduct involving a minor or disabled person, all of which are felonies, plus one count of creating a public nuisance, a misdemeanor, according to a Warren County grand jury report.
