One person was arrested Tuesday after the FBI and other law enforcement agencies responded to a suspected bomb threat outside the federal courthouse in downtown Anchorage, an official said.

Few details were initially known about the threat or the arrest. FBI spokeswoman Chloe Martin said in an email that the FBI had been “aware of reports of an alleged bomb threat” and said there was “no specific and credible information about a threat to public safety at this time.”

The identity of the person arrested has not been established and no charges have been filed.

Some streets surrounding the building were closed by Anchorage police. Officers left the area around 1:30 p.m. and employees, who had apparently been evacuated from the building, returned.
