Woman attacked by her own dog in Takoma Park

An adult female dog was attacked by one of her three dogs while she was trying to break up a fight between them.

According to Takoma Park police, the woman was walking her dogs in the area of ​​8300 Roanoke Avenue when one of the dogs attacked her.

A local resident heard the woman’s screams and rushed to the scene. Police said the witness saw the woman being dragged by the aggressive dog and heard her cries for help.

Then the dog started attacking him and the neighbor fired a gun, hitting the dog twice.

The police considered the neighbor’s actions to be self-defense.

The woman was taken to a local hospital. The dog succumbed to his injuries.
