Here’s the latest list of street closures in downtown Houston following last month’s derecho

As downtown Houston continues to rebuild following last month’s derecho, the city provided an updated list of which streets have reopened and which remain closed as repairs persist.

The update was posted to X (formerly Twitter) by the official Downtown Houston account.

Streets reopened:

Bell between Milam and Louisiana

Louisiana between Bell and Clay

The intersection of Bell and Louisiana

Streets that remain closed as of June 11:

Smith from Clay to Pease

Andrews from Smith to Shaw

Shaw to Ruthven

Louisiana Bell to Smith

Louisiana from Pease to Bell

Louisiana from Polk to Lamar

Dallas from Smith to Milam

Milam from the Capitol to Rusk

Travis from Franklin to Commerce

The message also clarifies that business and festivities happening downtown will likely continue as normal as construction continues.
